The Right Line

Posted by Catriona

This film and the revised lyrics to Ed Sheeran’s A Team were written and performed by Chatham’s National Citizen Service.  The film is split in two parts.

The first part shows a girl choosing to smoke and living with her decision.  It then flashes forward to her as an adult with a grown up daughter, receiving very bad news from her doctor as a result of her smoking.

The second part of the film shows her alternative future as someone who chose never to smoke and a very different life as a result.

This brilliant film competition for young people gives an outstanding chance to have your creative works viewed at a national level and to win a prize that money can’t buy!

Horrible Smokers

Posted by Helen

A hilarious spoof based on a Horrible Histories theme. Despite the comedy, the film includes a genuine quote from a tobacco industry executive (as reported by David Goerlitz who used to advertise cigarettes for the tobacco industry).  This disgraceful and shocking quote gives an insight into how the tobacco industry view their customers.  Amazing work!

Gillingham NCS perform a Freeze Frame at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre with fake cigarettes and oxygen masks to highlight the dangers of smoking and to promote The Medway Stop Smoking Service.
